Over 100 years serving Cape Cod
Meet the Bilodeaus
Peter Bilodeau
Executive Chef
Peter Bilodeau began his restaurant journey at age fourteen, working his way from bussing tables to discovering a passion for cooking when his parents bought The Sagamore Inn in 2008. He honed his culinary skills at Johnson & Wales University and gained experience in some of the best kitchens along the East Coast, including the triple Five-Star-rated Ocean House in Rhode Island and the Samoset Resort in Maine.
Peter continues to bring his expertise as Executive Chef, running the kitchen and serving as the mastermind behind all the culinary creations at The Sagamore. His leadership and vision drive the dining experience, from crafting innovative menus to overseeing catering contracts and delivering outstanding local cuisine to the community. When he's not cooking, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family in Cataumet.
The Bilodeaus
Family Owners
Suzanne’s passion for hospitality began in her childhood, working in her family’s business, The Shady Nook (now Sandwich Inn and Suites) and building a career in Cape Cod hospitality at local venues like the Aqua Grill (now known as The Pilot House). After raising three children—Katlyn, Keith, and Peter—Suzanne and Mike Bilodeau took a leap into ownership and purchased The Sagamore Inn in 2008.
Over the next 16 years, they embarked on a journey to modernize the 100-year-old venue while preserving its rich legacy. Mike’s contracting expertise was invaluable as they built their vision by hand, adding a stunning outdoor bar and partnering with Sperry Tent to create a versatile wedding venue just before the pandemic.
Today, The Sagamore Inn offers a seamless indoor/outdoor experience for Cape Cod residents and visitors. Suzanne is often found greeting guests in the dining room, while Mike is behind the bar, serving the strongest drinks in Bourne. Keith can be found alongside Peter in the kitchen—the Bilodeau family continues to welcome both familiar and new faces, carrying on The Sagamore’s rich legacy.
